Whatever it is you should do more of 

Do less of that thing

You finally got it.

That perfection is boring
hard
impossible

that living up to unrealistic standards
is difficult
impossible

you know
Because you tried
we know you tried
because you told us you were
(being perfect, not trying)

And now you want the world to know
That there is a better way 
than the way you told us to follow
when you were perfect.

​Who's right?

Most people know what they want
Most people won't admit what they want

So, they do what they think they need to
to get what they want
without telling anyone what they want

which , in practise
ends up meaning
that they end up doing
the things that are not likely to get them what they want
But are guaranteed to make the people who are able
to give them what they want
not want to give those things.

What if (mostly)
People in the world were just trying to get on
Like we are

Doing their thing each day
sometimes winning,
often making dumb mistakes
like we are

What if they sometimes hurt you
but it wasn't intended
they were just doing their thing
and it was a dumb mistake
like we make.

Could we forgive them?
Ourselves?

The trick to procrastinating 
is to always add things to the list

That way the things that you wanted to avoid yesterday
become the things you do to avoid what you 
are avoiding today

I didn't actually go away

It's easier to give advice rather than take it.

But I did take my advice

I told myself to shut up and listen

Turns out my advice was good.

So I'm sharing it with the world again.
